Louder

Erhöhen Sie die Lautstärke Ihrer Audio- und Videodateien, direkt im Browser

Drop audio/video file here or click to browse

Supports: MP4, WebM, MOV, MKV, MP3, WAV, FLAC, AAC, M4A

How It Works

1. Upload

Drag and drop your audio or video file. We support MP4, MP3, WAV, FLAC, MOV, MKV, and more.

2. Choose Strength

Select low (2x), medium (5x), or high (10x) amplification. FFmpeg runs in your browser via WebAssembly — no upload required.

3. Download

Preview the result directly in your browser and download the boosted file. Video quality stays untouched — only audio is amplified.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is LAUDER really free?

Yes, completely free. LAUDER is supported by ads and provided by Twelve Digital GmbH as a public service. There are no hidden fees or premium tiers.

What is the maximum file size?

There is no fixed limit — the only constraint is your browser's available memory. Most laptops handle files of 500 MB or more without issue. Phones run out of memory sooner.

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. Processing happens entirely in your browser via WebAssembly. The file is read locally, amplified, and offered for download — the file itself never reaches our servers. The page only reports its size and type, the chosen strength, how long processing took and any error message, for our statistics.

Does boosting volume reduce quality?

For video files, the video stream is copied without re-encoding, so quality is preserved. The audio track is amplified using FFmpeg's professional-grade processing. Very high amplification (10x) on already loud files may introduce clipping.

Where are files processed?

Inside the browser tab on your own device. The first time you process a file, your browser downloads a ~6 MB FFmpeg WebAssembly module from this website; subsequent uses are instant.

Which software processes my file?

FFmpeg 5.1.4 under the LGPL 2.1, compiled to WebAssembly by us, with LAME, Opus, Ogg and Vorbis. Open-source licences and source code
